Designed for: Anyone whose work involves facilitating in meetings or training courses and those who work in project teams or problem solving and decision making groups.
 
Aims: To examine the role of a facilitator and the tools and techniques required for effective facilitation.
 
Objectives: At the end of the course, delegates will be
able to:

  • Identify differences between facilitating and directing groups
  • Apply a structured approach to facilitating groups
  • Explain how to implement a variety of problem solving techniques to aid group/team decisions
  • Describe planning tools that might be used by a group/team

  • Motivate and encourage groups to maintain energy and participation
  • Describe how to manage conflict within a group/team.
